Boycott Beijing?
Several nations planning to participate in this summer's Beijing Olympics are witnessing protests in response to China's weekend crackdown on demonstrators in Tibet. Today's dispatches assert that the riot claimed 16 lives, while earlier unconfirmed reports had the toll as high as 100.
Objectors in several international cities erupted in dissent, encouraging their home countries to boycott the Games. The International Olympic Committee called for a peaceful resolution to the violence and quickly issued its opposition to the boycott babble.
If you're a little weary about the endless controversy surrounding the host nation's run-up to August, just close your eyes and fixate on the epitome-of-cool that is their nearly-complete Olympic Stadium.

The Olympics goes to.... Zimababwe
The Olympic Committee should be consistent with how they implement and execute their decisions on who gets the Olympics. If China is okay – should Zimbabwe get it next? It will be consistent with what they call “the Olympic” values. Or maybe we should have a closer look at their values – if we can find it. Go to Beijing
The worst thing we can do is boycot. We want to expose as many chinese to western freedom as we can. We can also get in there and see what is going on.How can we get info if we don't go there. The same applies with Iran. We need diplomacy so we can get inside and get intelligence.
Also, why should the young athletes who have worked their entire lives be penelized for china's bad record. It isn't the china games! Like was said previously pressure should be put on the IOC.
