  • Wright Irony

How very ironic that Rev. Wright was demonized for saying exactly this in more colorful language: "America's chickens have come home to roost."

  • McCain's VP Choice

In my opinion McCain's choice of Palin proves him incompetent and reckless. McCain had only met with Palin one time before he chose her to be his running mate. His staff had not vetted her. And yet he chose her to be a 72-76 year old heartbeat away from the presidency of the United States of America. McCain's poor judgement appears to mirror that of Bush's here. McCain and Palin will continue to give big oil ownership of America, your wallet, and eventually your mortgage. Not to mention the fact that conservative republicans despise the Constitution of the United States, (not that Americans really care about small details like that - our main concern is being able to afford gas right now.)

  • No Confusion

I'm glad you decided to take it upon yourself to say the obvious. I know that is an opinion, it was kind of satyrical towards the dictionary definition someone so proudly posted, but thanks for looking out for me. These "Repuglicans" you speak of aren't exactly fans of changing the rules, if you do some research, most of the conservative republicans at least, want to keep the original meaning of the constitution here since it isn't a living document. Something somehow brings suspected terrorists into the light, they don't just get there out of nowhere. If they are innocent, there will be evidence, or lack there of to prove it. I on one hand think the nation's safety far surpasses in priority to being right or wrong about accusations. No one is being killed in Gitmo by the way, but don't let the facts get in the way, liberals never do though. and might I add there are too many suspected terrorists being released just to see them again either plotting more, or actually being on the battlefield... And we're so concerned about giving them rights.. The reason why killing an innocent life is WAY different is because it is an INNOCENT life. In no way, shape, or form has this baby merited any kind of punishment, or death for that matter. There are many people who use abortion as a form of birth control, which is sickening. And you obviously missed my point about comparing the putting down of animals to the way abortions are done, but that's ok, anyone who doesn't understand and "can't figure out why" that unwarrantably placing value on innocent human life and deciding which one dies and which one lives based off of MOSTLY convenience issues isn't worth my time.

  • Don't Confuse Definition and Opinion

Your #9 is not a definition, it is merely an opinion of the uneducated and uninformed. Please don't confuse the two. This is America and unless the Repuglicans have changed the rules being a SUSPECT is in no way the same as being GUILTY. As hard as they are trying to turn America into a police state, it hasn't happened yet so don't kill suspects... yet. I am Pro CHOICE.. I'm a liberal -see definition- remember? HOWEVER, I do totally agree with you -although I can't figure out why you said it- that it is sad that we put our animals down to prevent suffering but will not do the same for humans.

  • Good Article

I've also been told of the lack of support for the people of Nicaragua and wondered why this issue is being kept so quiet (other than the extremely poor people of that country trying to fight a giant corporation).

Hi friends

We've outgrown this 800-pixel wide website and we're moving to new digs.

While we pack up our things (i.e. articles and videos and stuff), we're shutting down commenting and new registrations on the current site.

Our new site is up and running at GOOD.is/.

Yours,
