response to Patrick James's post The 3000 Mile Myth
I know someone who works at Shell and she told me that Shell's own engineers admit that the average mileage for oil changes is 5,000 miles. Back in the early 90's or late 80's I think is when the "3,000 mile myth" came in to play.
