I love reading. But I just don't have time to read anymore. I know that's a relative term, so thank you for pointing that out. I grew up a reader. My mom is a librarian and my father is a teacher. Now that I read far less than I ever did, I find my vocabulary deteriorating . But you make an extremely valid point about the way in which reading is taught. Another contributing factor is the notion of being forced to read. Reading for pure enjoyment needs to be encouraged in our schools.
