  Neither would we agree on how you came to work a 40 hours week, get overtime, vacations, health benefits, and family leave. You probably think that these were generous gifts from employers and don't realize that people, men and women, gave up their LIVES so that these SOCIAL programs could exist.

  We probably wouldn't agree either about how women came to get the vote or reproductive rights? Brave women DIED fighting for these things.

  Please get an education in history and don't bother me.

  Yep, I'm a product of the 60's and much to old to be naive my dear.

  MY generation got the civil rights bill passed. WE brought the Viet Nam war to an end. WE brought about the space program, Rock and Roll, womens rights, computers, free love, PEACE, the end of the draft, mini skirts and bikinis.

  What has the present regime since your senile hero Ronnie Reagan accomplished??? WAR.. Economic ruin, environmental disaster... all things to be proud of right?

  Please don't presume to lecture ME about naivete or the benefits of well run socialism. I would move to Canada or Great Brittan in a heartbeat if the Repuglicans had not made my home worthless and the price of a plane ticket practically unaffordable.

  When you grow up you will realize who is naive.

  Your #9 is not a definition, it is merely an opinion of the uneducated and uninformed. Please don't confuse the two.

  This is America and unless the Repuglicans have changed the rules being a SUSPECT is in no way the same as being GUILTY. As hard as they are trying to turn America into a police state, it hasn't happened yet so don't kill suspects... yet.

  I am Pro CHOICE.. I'm a liberal -see definition- remember?

  HOWEVER, I do totally agree with you -although I can't figure out why you said it- that it is sad that we put our animals down to prevent suffering but will not do the same for humans.

It will belong to the Multinational companies of Shell, Exxon, Mobile, Chevron and will be sold on the WORLD MARKET at the EURO rate which is today $1.60 to our $1.00. Do the math if you can.
  Drilling OUR oil won't bring down the price ONE CENT.

  YOUR President has already spent our country into "total destruction"... WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
  Have you heard of the mortgage crisis (than BEGAN with Ronald Regan) banks failing, food costs doubling, and the economy in the toilet?? This is because of YOUR president and his WAR and his gifts to Halliburton and CACI that have caused this.

  I could not have said it better myself.
  I would make the correction that Halliburton and CACI the two biggest war profiteers and friends to Bush AND Cheney don't make billions... they make HUNDREDS of billions.
  This while our soldiers are on the front lines and giving up their lives for cheap and for nothing. THEN whey they come home... no support, no medical, no GI Bill not even a thank you from our government.
  I HATE this regime and even good people can become victim to FOX "news" and the hate mongers in the media.
  When people are uneducated, ignorant, racist and bigoted this is what it leads to... Osama - Obama. Hatred of people for no other reason than their skin color, be it that they are infinitely more intelligent than the old white man. Who incidentally came in not quite dead last at Annapolis.

  AND on cutting taxes... you are absolutely correct HOWEVER I have seen NO tax cuts that help ME out.
  All of the tax cuts the Repuglicans are talking about are for the already too rich and BIG BUSINESS corporations. Still the Reagan "trickle down" theory lives on. I can tell you that it's a FACT that NONE is trickling down to ME.

  In conclusion I wonder which part of your blog insulted bahtlahn... perhaps it was, "You could go as a suicide bomber, it would be a win win situation."

  Discrima... These are exactly my thoughts and I could not have written it better. I too am in Florida and am just sick and tired of hearing (aside from the blatantly racist remarks) how nothing will change and we can't do anything and all the bitching and complaining from people who won't even bother to get their ass out of their easy chair to go vote. I'm ANGRY and I VOTE and I HOPE and I'm SO glad that Hillary did NOT get win. Like you I found her vaguely unsettling and overtly mean.
  I CHOOSE HOPE and Barrack will be my choice and come hell or high water (or Hurricane) I will work to see that he, the intelligent man, the caring man, the man who CAN and WILL change things gets in to that oval office.
