response to  Michaelangelo Matos and Brian Rea's post Michaelangelo Matos on the 1990s Music Renaissance

i've said for years that culture travels in a cyclical manner. Usually it is represented by fashion, television, movies, and music.

i liked this piece because it actually goes into a little depth on the music of the early 90s... and the fact that i just insinuated that music in the early 90s had depth is interesting enough. But, you know, it did.

i'm glad we're getting to the point where we are far enough removed to be able to look back with a little nostalgia and interest. Even more than that, however, i am glad that we are trying to better ourselves, to learn from the decades in which many of grew up.
